Dr. Svetlana Kondrashova initially obtained her dental degree in 1985 when she graduated with great distinction from the Faculty of Dentistry of Voronezh Medical University in Russia. After graduation, Dr. Kondrashova worked in the oral surgery department of a municipal dental clinic until she and her family moved to South Africa in 1994. In South Africa, while continuing to provide general dentistry services out of Klerksdorp General Hospital, Dr. Kondrashova was also a part of the mobile dental unit team which regularly provided dental services to remote communities which lacked dental care facilities. During her years in South Africa, Dr. Kondrashova was also privileged enough to be involved in providing care to oral and maxillofacial surgery patients together with an oral surgeon while also completing postgraduate courses in orthodontics from the University of Pretoria.

After her move to Canada in 1999, to obtain her licence, Dr. Kondrashova was accepted to and completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree (D.M.D 2003) at the University of British Columbia. Since then, she has served the communities of Estevan, Weyburn, and now Regina, SK. Riverbend Dental was opened in 2006 with the vision of providing the best and up-to-date dental care possible. Dr. Kondrashova is always in pursuit of new technologies, information, and education available in the dental field. She has obtained her training in providing dental implants, orthodontics, and is currently a certified Invisalign provider. One of her most important continuing education achievements is the completion of the prestigious Las Vegas Institute (LVI) program in Neuromuscular Dentistry for Advanced Restorative and Cosmetic Dentistry. The obtainment of this LVI fellowship allows Dr. Kondrashova to tackle full-mouth reconstruction cases using the principles of neuromuscular dentistry.

When away from the office, Dr. Kondrashova enjoys spending time with her immediate and extended family, including the newest addition, her little grandson, Peter.
